Hi! I am a young married woman, and I desperately need your help! In July 2007 we were really excited to move into our new place when some problems started to come up. The new apartment had a very different layout and it was in a much older building.Because of this we lost a bunch of furniture that didn’t fit through the doors or up the stairs. Since then we are trying to turn our home into a more pleasurable place to live but we can’t do it all on our own! Our bed didn’t fit up the stairs and that really made me sad. Our bedroom, which should be the most important room for a young married couple, is the worst room in the whole house! We sleep on a mattress facing two white dressers! It is not the romantic and cozy bedroom I would like to start my new life with my love! Please help me! - Fabiola More

Bedrooms are the most important space in the home - they are where we start our days and ultimately return to rest each night.

I have always believed that a bedroom should feel like an escape from the world and so I created a room where Fabiola and her husband could retreat to share time together.

Their room was a basic blah before, no style, no comfort, but a great canvas to paint an intimate space using rich color.

With a deep shade of brown on the walls, a playful, yet sophisticated area rug, and dramatic draperies, the room becomes warm and cozy, and super stylish. Adding unexpected black accent lamps and a dramatic large scale chandelier will increase the dramatic feeling while providing ambient light.

A comfortable chair and ottoman add another dimension of comfort and give fabiola and her husband a place where one of them can sit back and read romantic poems to the other. Simple touches of plants and flowers add another level of life to this romantic environment.
